Venkatagiri Pattu Saree

Venkatgiri Pattu - Silk saris also known as Venkatgiri Pattu are produced in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh in the town of Venkatagiri. These saris are preferred for everyday use and informal situations because of their softness, lightness, and comfort.

Handwoven by expert weavers, Venkatgiri Pattu sarees are manufactured from either pure cotton or a silk-cotton blend. Simple yet exquisite patterns and light pastel hues like pink, blue, yellow, and green are common in saris, which are distinguished by their simplicity and elegance. Venkatgiri Pattu saree borders are often small and adorned with simple motifs like stripes, checks, and floral designs.

The use of a unique weaving method called Jamdani, which entails adding beautiful motifs to the sari by weaving them into the fabric, is one of the distinctive characteristics of Venkatgiri Pattu sarees. This method enhances the saris' beauty and worth by giving them a delicate and detailed appearance.
